About this service

Children's podiatry

Children’s feet, at either clinic

Bring your child to Shellharbour Village or Shellharbour City, whichever suits your family. We assess development, walking and footwear, and often the outcome is simply reassurance that what you are seeing is a normal part of growing up.

What to expect

We listen to your child and to you, examine their feet and legs, watch them walk or run and explain what we find in plain language. We recommend treatment only when it is likely to help, whether that is exercises, footwear advice or orthotics.

Frequently asked questions about Children's podiatry

Which clinic should we book?

Either clinic sees children. Shellharbour Village has street parking and a council car park behind the building; at Shellharbour City, parking at Stockland is free.

Does my child need a referral?

No. You can book directly online or by phone.

Will my child need orthotics?

Most children don’t. We only suggest them when your child has pain or their feet are limiting what they can do, and other steps haven’t been enough.

What should we bring to the appointment?

Their everyday shoes, school shoes and any sports boots, plus notes on when the pain began and what sets it off.
