Brendan Hughes
Podiatrist
Brendan graduated from Western Sydney University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine.
During his university studies he has gained experience in both private and public podiatry, having the coveted opportunity to spend part of his final year practising overseas in a high risk foot clinic in Galway, Ireland.
After graduating, Brendan spent time working in a large and busy podiatry clinic in the Blue Mountains. He has always dreamt of living closer to the coast and prefers a regional lifestyle, so in early 2021 he relocated to the Illawarra and joined the team at Shellharbour Podiatry. He is a friendly, caring and professional podiatrist who places high emphasis on patient centred care.
His interest areas include:
- Ingrown nail treatment and surgery
- General podiatry treatments
- Shockwave therapy for treatment of soft tissue conditions
- Orthotic therapy
Outside of work, Brendan’s main passion is golf. He does his best to get out a couple of times a week at his local course, The Links Shell Cove where he maintains a low single figure handicap. He also lists spending time with friends and family and following rugby league and mixed martial arts as pastimes.
