William Ryder

William Ryder

Bill grew up in Wagga Wagga before Studying a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine (Honours) at Charles Sturt University where he was afforded the opportunity to research the biomechanics of the lower limb.

After graduating he began working in private practice in two well-respected clinics on the mid north coast of New South Wales. In these roles he was able to understand the importance of a multidisciplinary team in the rural health context and was able to work closely with other allied health professionals and podiatric surgeons.

Bill moved to the Illawarra at the beginning of 2020 to be closer to family and begin his role at Shellharbour Podiatry. He enjoys the laid back work-life balance that the South Coast offers.

He is a dedicated and passionate practitioner that enjoys helping clients from all stages of life. He has particular interest in treating clients with a disability, sporting and running injuries.

Bill currently sits on the external advisory committee for Charles Sturt University with a number of industry leaders which allows him to stay up to date with any of the latest changes within the profession.

Outside of work, Bill is a lover of all sports and is involved locally in both rugby league and basketball at a community level. He has also recently taken up triathlons as a summer sport and has a new appreciation for endurance athletes he sees in the clinic!
